Have you ever started a thought with the words ‘ I wish ’ or ‘One day’? 

I have.

These words usually come out after a long series of stressful days where I’m wishing for a vacation, a full night of sleep or that person to one day listen to what I have to say. 

Those words creep into our vocabulary in moments of desperation. When it feels as though our efforts are in vain or we’ve tried everything to keep going and we’re just about out of energy. 

Actually, I like to think those words are an amazing reminder.

One that we all need. It reminds us that our efforts are never in vain. That our energy must be used wisely. It’s a reminder to repurpose ourselves towards our goals and a better plan. Because whatever we’re doing or how we’re doing it, just isn’t working. 

‘I wish’ and ‘One day’ are your true heart’s desires and the plans you SHOULD be making. They are the calls of the goals yet to be set and the focus that needs to be redrawn.

Rather than falling into sadness use your ‘I wish’ and ‘One day’ moments as a motivator to turn your life around.

You can do it, I know you can.

You know how I know? Because I have and I do all the time.

So, when you’re feeling discouraged. Don’t. Just stop for a moment, just long enough to hear yourself wishing. That’s your next goal.
